Seasonality tracker
Seasonality, read the way the desk reads it.
Pick an index, a currency pair, a metal, an energy contract or a coin and see its annual map (the average week-by-week
path over the last 10 years, against this year's price) and its monthly map (average return by calendar month, this
year beside it). Pick any past year to see how it ran against the map that stood at the time.
Annual
52 weeks
Average weekly move per week of the year, cumulative, with this year's price on its own axis.
Monthly
12 months
Mean return per calendar month over the window, this year's months beside it, the last five years in a table.
Any year
back to 1928
Compare a past year instead of this one: the page as it stood at the end of that year, window included.
Lookback
5 to max
Five years to every bar Yahoo has. Longer windows average over more regimes; the page shows how many years sit behind each point.
Universe

The usual indices, 28 FX pairs, metals, energy, rates and crypto, plus any Yahoo ticker or company name typed into the search box.

Seasonality is weaker than the charts make it look. We scored every year in the window against the map built from the other
years: over ten years no name in the universe beat chance, and over the S&P 500's full history the agreement is real but
small. The average path is real; the year-to-year agreement with it mostly is not. Use the maps as context for timing, never as
the reason for a trade.
